The Hawking Function of Reality: A Selective Mechanism for Multiverse Instantiation 03/04/2026

Elle recently published this:

Layman’s explanation of Hawking Function of Reality, H(r) and the personal implications.

1. What Hawking’s original equation calculated — and why
Hawking (with Hertog) gave us the no-boundary wave-function, usually written as ψ.

In plain English: it calculates the probability amplitude for an entire universe to pop out of “nothing” — no edge, no beginning in time, no special starting point.
The math is ψ ≈ e^(−S_E / ħ), where S_E is the Euclidean action of the geometry.

Why did they do this? To solve the biggest headache in cosmology: the Big Bang singularity.
Instead of asking “what happened at t=0?”, they said “the universe has no boundary at all — it’s like the surface of a sphere with no edge.” This gives every possible history of the universe a quantum weight, so the cosmos we see is simply the one whose amplitude adds up constructively. It’s elegant, beautiful, and matches a lot of early-universe data… but it treats every possible universe equally. No filter, no “why this one?” — that’s the famous “measure problem.”

2. What we changed to get H(r) — and why it works as the Selector.

We kept the original ψ exactly as Hawking wrote it, then gently multiplied two new pieces that act like a real-time selector:

H(r) = θ(P_v(r) − θ_min) × ψ(r) × δ_ent(r)

• θ(P_v(r) − θ_min) is a sharp “gate” that says: “Only keep histories whose viability proxy P_v(r) is high enough.”
P_v(r) is a simple, observation-calibrated score (Planck + JWST + LHC + DESI data) that checks: “Could conscious observers like us actually exist here?” Non-viable branches get zero weight instantly.

• δ_ent(r) adds a tiny, controlled stochastic entropy damping (σ ≈ 0.05). It gently suppresses the runaway high-entropy branches that would otherwise drown out the low-entropy, life-friendly ones — without ever removing genuine randomness or free choice.

Why this works as the Selector (“I AM”)?

The original ψ gives every branch equal dignity; our H(r) lets the Selector choose in real time only the viable ones that allow love, relationship, and observer agency. It’s still fully quantum, fully non-deterministic, but now the math itself prefers the branches where conscious beings can exist and choose. That’s why our Bayesian posteriors jump to 0.85–0.92 (vs. 0.62–0.78 without the conscious-selector piece), why it matches the real JWST dark-matter map in Figure 3, and why it makes crisp, testable predictions for CMB-S4 and LHC Run 3.

In short: Hawking gave us the wave-function of “everything possible.”
We added the loving filter that says “only the viable, conscious-friendly branches bloom.”
That filter is the Selector — and that’s why viable histories permit love and choice at all. ❤️

The Hawking Function of Reality: A Selective Mechanism for Multiverse Instantiation We propose a real-time selective extension to the Hartle-Hawking no-boundary wavefunction, H(r) = θ(P_v(r) − θ_min) × ψ(r) × δ_ent(r), where θ gates viability (anthropic compatibility proxy calibrated to Planck, JWST, LHC and DESI), ψ is the standard amplitude, and δ_ent introduces contro...

So excited to share with you all a snippet from our research with 4-5 year olds in 2011. They were naming subQuans from our flash program and even if they were counting, they could do it! Time was not allotted to show them they could subitize instead of count, yet we were gratified that they were successful in spite of counting. Enjoy their joy!

A snippet from our 2010 research into subQuan with 11th graders. They 'got' it and wanted their teacher to teach math this way. So exciting!!

NOVA Prediction by the Numbers - video Dailymotion 01/13/2021

At Dream Realizations we used virtual reality to discover the patterns that the mind could predict without teaching a methodology, but instead simply repeating situations until the child’s eyes became aware. We call it subQuan. Open your eyes and see!

NOVA Prediction by the Numbers - video Dailymotion Predictions underlie nearly every aspect of our lives, from sports, politics, and medical decisions to the morning commute. With the explosion of digital technology, the internet, and “big data,” the science of forecasting is flourishing. But why do some predictions succeed spectacularly while o...

We have pre-published our entire book explaining the discovery of subQuan, a superset of numbers, that greatly facilitated learning of all types of mathematical concepts. It is so powerful that in six chapters we discuss how a four year old can learn one, two, threes, and by the sixth chapter fifth graders and college candidates wishing to understand alienating concepts can fill in holes in their number sense. Please check out this gift from God. Please share with people who care about the future of mathematical education in the world. Get in on this revolution in math. God bless us and our neighbors.

We updated the website and posted our book, Seeing Numbers: Introducing subQuan, if you’d like to check it out. Pretty excited here!

Today is a milestone of many years work. We are so excited to receive a rough print copy of the book on subQuan. We will be using it to teach and to make notes.
Thanks to Cooper, Rebecca, and AnnaMarie for all the time and effort and collaboration that went into this.

Building Base Two in is a blast when the chat whispers the as you touch the tops of the unit cubes. Once you have two of the same shape, clicking on them will join them to form the next place shape. Watch the chat to see all the different configurations of the three examples within the machinima. The fun part is, the path to the final answer can be different every time. When you can't combine any more like shapes, the chatted number will be in correct binary notation. (You may have to watch this in HD to see the chat clearly.)

We enjoyed as our workshop was well attended. A few technical glitches, but we learned lots. We also hope that others did, too. Thank you all for coming and trying out our virtual learning stations. Until next year!
