Congratulations to Whittier Elementary Pre-Kindergarten Program! As one of KCPS's seven Pre-K sites, it's among the first in the Kansas City area to earn Missouri’s highest early learning distinction.

This honor, the “Exhibiting High Quality” designation from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, highlights Pre-K programs that are going the extra mile for early learners.

Thank you to the teachers Mrs. Dobbins and Mrs. Jiohn, staff, and families who work hard everyday to make this accomplishment possible!

A big thank you to The Kansas City Royals Foundation Royals Literacy League for letting Slugger know that Whittier students in Ms. Williams and Mr. Rice's classes are on track to meet their reading goals, and for bringing him to celebrate this achievement with our students.
