Today, Mr. Cochran's 7th grade STEM class is learning about the design process. Students had a Stem challenge #1 to take 30 index cards and build the tallest structure possible without bending or folding the cards with limited time. A seventh grade girls team won the overall challenge!

🚗 KCIA 26-27 Arrival & Dismissal Procedures for Middle School

Thank You for Helping Us Keep Our Students Safe!
Our arrival and dismissal procedures are designed to keep students safe while ensuring traffic flows as smoothly as possible. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated!

🌞 Morning Arrival
Parents should drop students off at 7:05 a.m. behind the bus line on Wilson Street.
Please follow the flow of traffic and school staff directions.
Remain in your vehicle unless otherwise directed.
Have students ready to exit the vehicle quickly and safely.

🌤 Afternoon Dismissal
Dismissal begins at 2:30 p.m.
PPU will be behind the busses on Wilson (next to the soccer field)
Parents must arrive on time. There is no sheltered waiting area for students after dismissal. Late pickups may leave students waiting in hot, cold, rainy, or other inclement weather.
Parents should form a single line behind the buses.
Please remain in your vehicle at all times.
Once students are safely inside their vehicles, staff will dismiss cars in an orderly manner.
Follow all staff directions to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone.
Helpful Reminders
✅ Pull forward as directed to keep traffic moving.
✅ Have your child enter the vehicle safely and quickly.
✅ Avoid using your cell phone while in the pickup line.
✅ If someone different is picking up your child, notify the school office before dismissal.
Please Do Not
❌ Park and walk into the pickup area.
❌ Stop in the roadway or block driveways.
❌ Pass other vehicles in the pickup line.
❌ Pick up students outside the designated dismissal location.
