EARLY RELEASE!

Border Star students participated in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge.

Building on key learnings from nearly 50 years in America’s schools, the Kids Heart Challenge focuses on whole body well-being, helping students improve their own health and better their character while raising life-saving donations for the American Heart Association to help kids with special hearts.

Families, due to inclement weather, we will dismiss early. Border Star will start dismissal at 11:30. Please drive carefully picking up your student. Little Dragons and LINC will be closed as well. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear KCPS Families,

Due to rapidly changing weather conditions, Kansas City Public Schools will dismiss students early today to ensure their safe transportation home. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the first winter weather event of the season.

Below are the early dismissal times for each school. Students will be transported home by bus as usual. Families with prior approval for pickup may pick up their children at the designated times. Please note: LINC & after-school activities will not be available today.

Please also note that all KCPS offices are closed to the public today.
