Enrollment deadline EXTENDED. But just this once!

If you haven't enrolled or re-enrolled yet for the upcoming school year (including existing KCPS families!), you can still complete it by end-of-business on Wednesday to guarantee your child a bus on Day 1 of school.

IMPORTANT: YOUR CHILD WILL NOT HAVE A BUS TO START THE SCHOOL YEAR IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF THIS BY WEDNESDAY!!

We do not have bus slips anymore. Anyone who doesn't have a bus will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian.

We want to be very clear: EVEN IF YOU ARE A RETURNING KCPS family, you still need to enroll/re-verify your information in order to receive bus services and other resources!!

Head to your Parent Portal to complete annual enrollment, or drop by the Admissions Office (2901 Troost Ave.) any day before 4:30 p.m. Check out EnrollKC.org for info.

Q: What happens if I don’t verify enrollment by July 26?
A: You will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from school.

Q: When will my child receive a bus route if I complete annual enrollment after July 26?
A: Bus routes for students who verify enrollment after July 26 will not be available until after Labor Day.

Q: How do I complete my Annual Enrollment?
A: You can finish Annual Enrollment through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Sign in to your parent portal account, then go to More > Online Registration > 25-26 Annual Enrollment. Melcher Parents Make sure your student is fully immunized before the first day of school which is August 18th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to remind you of the importance of keeping your student’s immunization records up to date. Missouri state law requires that all students have current immunizations in order to attend school.

Please note the following important updates for the 2025–2026 school year:

*All incoming Kindergarten students must be up to date on all required immunizations before the first day of school.
*All incoming 8th graders are required to receive a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) booster and the first dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.
*All incoming 12th graders must have received a second dose of the Meningococcal vaccine, unless the first dose was administered after the age of 16.

We encourage you to check with your child’s healthcare provider, the school nurse or local health department to ensure all immunizations are current. Updated records must be submitted to the school nurse before the first day of school to avoid delays in attendance.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact your school office.
