Lincoln Prep’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) showed up and showed out at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Springfield, MO! 💙🐅 From April 12–14, our scholars joined thousands of students from across Missouri for one of the state’s largest gatherings of emerging leaders in business, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Over three powerful days, our students stepped boldly into a wide range of competitive events, showcasing their creativity, technical skill, and problem‑solving abilities. They competed in:
● Coding & Programming
● Community Service Project
● Digital Animation
● Introduction to Programming
● Business Ethics
● Computer Game & Simulation Programming
● Network Design
● Mobile Application Development
● Financial Statement Analysis
● Website Coding & Development
Beyond competition, students attended workshops, connected with industry professionals, and gained real‑world insight into leadership, innovation, and the power of using their gifts to make an impact.
This experience strengthened their technical skills, sharpened their professionalism, and deepened their understanding of teamwork and perseverance. Representing Lincoln Prep on a statewide stage is no small task — and our scholars rose to the challenge with excellence.
Our FBLA chapter continues to embody scholarship, leadership, and service, and we couldn’t be prouder of the bright future they are building — one competition, one challenge, and one opportunity at a time.

🎉 The UMKC Math Academy Cohort at Lincoln wrapped up the year with an incredible hands-on learning experience — the Inflatable Project! 🎈
Students worked in teams to transform mathematical concepts into real-world creations. Using their knowledge of measurement, scale, surface area, and volume, they designed and built fully functional inflatables from the ground up.
After weeks of planning, calculating, testing, and revising, students unveiled their final designs during Inflatable Land, a special end‑of‑year showcase where classmates and staff could walk through, explore, and interact with their creations.
This project not only strengthened students’ math skills but also encouraged creativity, problem‑solving, and collaboration. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and the imagination they brought to life! 🌟

🎉 Freshman Incentive Trip Fun! 🎉
On Friday, May 22nd, our Freshman Class enjoyed an amazing incentive field trip to Winnwood Skate Center, and they absolutely skated their hearts out! 🛼💙 Students showed off their skills, played games like limbo, and even broke out into some classic line dances that had everyone cheering.
After skating, we headed to Crown Center for lunch and a little well‑earned retail therapy. 🛍️ Our students represented LCPA with pride, positivity, and great behavior throughout the entire day.
We’re so proud of this group and the way they continue to show leadership, teamwork, and school spirit. What a fantastic way to celebrate their hard work! 💛💙

While celebrating Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Ms. Zhang’s students had an unforgettable field trip to the Hella Good Deeds Building, a nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and sharing Asian culture to cultivate a more connected and inclusive Kansas City, where they spent the afternoon in a thoughtful Q&A with the organization’s incredible staff. Students were fully engaged—asking questions, learning about future collaboration opportunities, and even discussing ideas like a potential Asian Development Fund Scholarship. The team generously shared their wisdom, experiences, and encouragement, leaving our students inspired and energized.
After the session, the group continued their cultural exploration with a stop at Cafe Cà Phê for drinks and then enjoyed delicious Vietnamese dishes at Vietnam Cafe. It was the perfect way to wrap up a meaningful day of learning, connection, and community.
Here are a few photos capturing this worthwhile experience.
