A HISTORIC DAY FOR ST. PIUS X! ๐๐ช๐
Today, on the Feast of St. Pius X, our entire school community gathered following Mass with Most Reverend Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr., to officially break ground on the first phase of our Warrior Legacy Campaign!
We were honored to have the following members of our Warrior family take part:
Most Reverend Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr.
Bill Dunn, Jr. โ Warrior Legacy Campaign Steering Committee
Bill Dunn III โ Warrior Legacy Campaign Steering Committee
Bob Lee โ St. Pius X Principal
Dr. Karen Kroh โ Superintendent of Schools
Joe Ross โ89 โ St. Pius X President
Sayer Rhodes & Sophia Armilio โ Senior School Captains
Frances Nelson Gillespie โ59 โ First Graduating Class
Jennie Scola Silvio โ00 โ Parent Association President
Luke Guettermann โ00 โ School Board President
This moment represents generations of Warriors coming together to build the future of St. Pius X. And while we have raised enough to begin construction, we still have $1.5 million left to raise to complete the campaign.
The groundbreaking is just the beginning! Help us finish what we started. ๐๐

The halls are officially full again, and we couldnโt be happier to see our Warriors back on campus! ๐๐
Today was a great first day of school filled with plenty of Warrior spirit. Our freshmen kicked things off with our Community Sorting Pep Rally, where they were officially welcomed into their Communities, followed by a fun (and slightly chaotic!) balloon-popping game. ๐
A huge thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Bax for providing a delicious lunch for our faculty and staff. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the start of another school year together!
As we begin this new year, weโre carrying this yearโs motto with us: โWhen darkness remains, let love be your light.โ May that light guide our students, faculty and staff throughout the year ahead.
Hereโs to an incredible year, Warriors! Letโs make it a great one! ๐๐

Our Warrior Gala is less than 2 months away, and it's more than an evening of celebration - it is an investment in the future of St. Pius X High School. Every dollar raised strengthens our mission by supporting every aspect of the St. Pius X experience, enriching the lives of our students and sustaining the faculty, programs, and resources that make our school thrive.
The generosity of our community helps us keep tuition as affordable as possible while ensuring that a St. Pius X education remains accessible to families through needs-based financial assistance and continued support of our mission.
Together, these gifts give every Warrior the opportunity to learn, lead, and grow in a Christ-centered communityโtoday and for generations to come.

We are beyond thrilled to see not only Class of 2026 graduate Justin Janasz on this list, but also Daniel Kremer โ16 and Rev. Mr. Xavier Schmidt โ18! What a beautiful testament to the impact of a St. Pius X education and the faith journeys of these young men.
Please join us in praying for Justin, Daniel, Xavier, and all seminarians as they embark on or continue their spiritual journeys and discern Godโs call to serve His Church. May God guide them, strengthen them, and bless them abundantly throughout their journey. We are so proud to call them Warriors! ๐๐
May God bless our seminarians and those who lead them!

A huge thank you to Detective Price with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department for joining our faculty and staff to talk about campus safety and preparedness. We are incredibly grateful for his time, his partnership, and his commitment to helping keep our school community safe.
Detective Price and his fellow officers play an important role in supporting our school throughout the year, including having an officer on campus during the school year. Their presence provides an added layer of safety and security for our students and staff, while also helping build relationships within our school community.
We are so thankful for the men and women of the Kansas City Police Department who serve and protect our community every day. ๐๐
