We’re kicking off a semester of big updates with announcement #1: Information Services (IS) is officially taking over the laptop loaner program!

Here’s what you need to know:
💠 Same program: Laptops are still available on a first-come, first-served basis for the entire Fall or Spring semester.
💠Availability: IS hopes to have laptops ready for checkout at the end of the second week of the fall semester. Laptops can be requested via the laptop checkout form on the IS Laptop Loaner webpage: https://buff.ly/MoUclVp

We hope this change helps streamline the experience for students by removing the middleman and making things like software installation requests much more efficient.

Is your student looking for an on-campus job, a crucial summer internship, or their first post-graduation career role? Fall career fair registration is officially open at UMKC!

Career fairs are one of the best ways for students to network with top employers, practice their pitch, and secure opportunities. Encouraging your Roo to register early gives them a head start on researching employers and open roles so they can walk in feeling confident.

Here is the Fall 2025 lineup to keep on your radar:

🗓️ Sep 15 | STEM Career Fair (Swinney Rec Center, 10 AM - 2 PM)
🗓️ Sep 29 | Job & Internship Fair (Pierson Auditorium, 10 AM - 1 PM)
🗓️ Oct 06 | Nursing Career Fair (Pierson Auditorium, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
