Congratulations to Marwa Mohmand, Tevy Walton, Robert Vasquez, and Eryk Fuentes for receiving an award for their outstanding participation at DKC debate championship. Throughout the season students performed remarkably as they presented compelling speeches on crucial congressional topics, including free college, cell phone bans, the ban on nuclear power, and A.I. copyright issues under the guidance of Dr. L. . The atmosphere was filled with pride as they received awards reflecting their dedication and passion. Extremely proud of them.

The PBIS team celebrated student achievements by giving away ice cream to those who earned Vikings Star Awards, collected dojo points, and achieved 90% attendance were recognized for their hard work and dedication. Each student received certificates acknowledging their achievements, serving as a proud reminder of their efforts. The combination of delicious ice cream and official recognition created a joyful atmosphere.

Our very first podcast, titled β€œRoad to Success,” was created by our talented Debate students in collaboration with the tech team. Tune in to the podcast, which will be aired on the NEHS YouTube channel! We encourage everyone to listen and support our students as they embark on this new venture. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, Coach Frazier and Ms. Byrd, for their participation.

Congratulations to all Honor Roll Students

Our Viking Students are recognized for their achievements on the honor roll, as Viking Star award recipients, and dojo winners by having a movie show and popcorn time organized by the PBIS. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. This fun event provided an opportunity to appreciate their hard work and dedication while fostering a sense of community among peers. A sincere thank you goes out to City Year for their support in making this event possible…

A big thank you to City Year Team for sponsoring donuts to our students! Your support allowed us to celebrate over 200 students who achieved 90% and above attendance, as well as our Best Star students from each class. The joy and excitement were palpable, and it was wonderful to see both students and teachers enjoying the treats together. This truly enhanced our school's positive climate and culture.

What an amazing way to go on a break. Congratulations to all the winners! who received certificates for DOJO points and the Viking Star Award. Over 90 students were recognized for their exemplary behavior and academic progress, The School-Wide DOJO and Viking Star Awards continue to reflect our commitment to fostering a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Congratulations to Tevy Walton and Taliyah Crawford for their excellent performance at Ruskin Highschool Debate Competition.

Taliyah Crawford believed that cell phones are useful within schools. Judges reported that she showed confidence in her speech. She ranked 5th position in congress debate at Ruskin Highschool.

Tevy Walton gave two speeches and ranked 7th position. Tevy’s speech was in favor of banning free college. She expressed that the value of degree could decrease due to free college and there would be strain of resources.
