We had a very busy and fun first day of school! We can’t wait to welcome our Bears back for Day 2 tomorrow!

What an amazing turnout for our Back-To-School Night! Thank you to our Briarcliff PTO and other community partners for hosting booths and welcoming our families. It was great seeing our Bears and we can’t wait to welcome them back next Tuesday!

We started off our first day back with teachers with a breakfast provided by our Briarcliff PTO!!!

As we begin another school year, we're inviting every Briarcliff family to join the PTO and help us continue creating opportunities for our students, supporting our amazing staff, and strengthening our school community.

We’re making it easier to stay connected! 📲🔔

NKC Schools is now using ParentSquare for all communication between school and home. Families can receive updates, sign forms, view upcoming events, and more – on your phone, computer, or through the app. ParentSquare will replace other apps in use, such as SportsYou, ClassDojo and SchoolMessenger. We’ve heard feedback from families about the need to streamline communications, and we’re looking forward to the improved experience ParentSquare will provide.

All parents and guardians are automatically enrolled to receive emails and text messages. We encourage you to download the ParentSquare app, where you can further set preferences for how, when and in what language you’d like to get messages. Stay tuned for the first messages from your school as we prepare for the new school year ahead!

Mark your calendars for our first ever "NKC Wheel Smart Bash"! A collaboration event between BikeWalkKC and North Kansas City Schools! Saturday July 25th, from 10am - 2pm at Gateway 6th Grade Center (9201 N Indiana Ave. KCMO, 64156) This event will have several different stations and resources to help build safety, awareness, and confidence while utilizing wheels.

-Learn to Ride Area
-Simulation Practice Course
-Bike Maintenance/Checking of Equipment
-Laws and Safety (Clay County, Missouri Sheriff Bike Patrol Unit)
-ABC Quick Check/Signals

We will have several available giveaways, raffles, and extra resources at the event, so be sure to attend! We intend to get food/dessert trucks out. The event will be adaptive friendly as well!

This is geared from kids-adults and all can participate! Feel free to bring your own wheels & helmet, whether it is a bicycle, scooter, e-bike, e-scooter, wheelchair, adaptive bike, etc.! Bike and helmets will also be provided to use if you don't have one or are unable to transport.
