Mikayla Odell — BA of Biology and Psychology

“One decision that changed my life was moving into the house my freshman year. I was super nervous about living with 20+ strangers, but because I took a leap of faith, I found my forever friends. They accepted me for who I was, and I felt comfortable being myself. The House and Chi Omega supported my transition into college, and it’s hard to imagine doing it without them. There are so many good memories in that house; these girls helped me grow both as a person and as a leader, but also helped me when I struggled. This chapter has given me so much to be thankful for. Divya Pothuri — Biology Major

“When I came to college, I told myself my only priority was to focus on school and get a degree as fast as possible. Joining a sorority was the last thing I planned to do, but when I walked into the chi o room during rush week, I immediately felt a connection with the girls. Chi o has made me a better person all around. Yes, I was suddenly able to have a bunch of awesome girls as my friends/roommates and we had really cool events, but the biggest thing I took from chi o is how much the girls inspired me to work harder and do better. Scholarship is so important to chi o and I am always shocked at how much these girls can do. Seeing them balance a job with school all while giving their time to their sisters and their philanthropy amazes me. From this experience, I learned to step out of my comfort zone and embrace change, and I’ve become a much better person because of it.” - Divya PC’18 ♡
