SCA Snapshots- A look inside the daily learning at SCA!
Our teachers are the heart of our school, and hands-on learning, leadership, discipleship, and ministry opportunities take place in every classroom throughout every day at SCA!
Classroom snapshots this week include:
Early Education students celebrated Superhero Day for “S” week. The halls were extra safe with Spiderman, the Hulk, the Incredibles, and many more on campus! And we talked about how Jesus is the Ultimate Superhero in our story!
Elementary had their annual Senior Chapel, where the High School worship team leads worship and the Senior class shares about their Senior Mission Trip and their vision for the school year! Their focus was on serving others, and how you’re never too young to be like Jesus by serving. The chapel service concluded with the elementary student body praying over our Seniors!
Sixth graders kicked off the year by learning what it means to be a historian- instead of just learning about historians, they got to become historians themselves! Each student brought in personal artifacts from their own lives, and they held a gallery walk where students examined classmates’ artifacts, made observations, asked questions, and used evidence to make inferences about each other. It was a fun, hands-on way to learn that historians don’t simply study the past—they investigate the evidence left behind!
10th grade Physical Science is learning to distinguish different types of solutions from one another. The class did a lab to determine which solutions could be separated by a filter and which could not!
