The WYEDC Career Student Pathways Tours wrapped up an incredible 2024–2025 school year! In partnership with local businesses, KCK Community College, Kansas Manufacturing Solutions, and Alliance Workforce Partnership, these tours gave high school students across Wyandotte County a firsthand look at high-demand, high-wage careers in our community. We are deeply saddened by the senseless incident that occurred today and resulted in the death of Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Ming.

Our prayers, compassion, and heartfelt condolences are with Deputy Ming’s family, friends, and the entire Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office.

We have a new program!!!

Lots of progress the last 10 days at the KCK Community Education, Health and Wellness Center! The roof and parapet going on of the advanced technology wing, first floor decking of five-story partner stack, under slab plumbing and electrical going in, beginning framing of first wall of the Construction program dirt yard, final slabs poured in different sections, and much much more.

Somewhat hard to believe that in 11 months, we should begin moving in some of the equipment and fixtures.

KCKCC is hosting the HUSTLE (Hands-On Understanding of Skills, Trade, Leadership and Experience) Summer experience, a dynamic and hands-on college/career readiness program for ninth through 12th grade students as well as recent graduates.
This immersive four-week college and career readiness program is designed for participants to dive into high-demand career pathways, earn college credit and gain real-world experience that sets them apart. One remaining session is available:
