Meet Cheryl Hackett, Director of Development at the Wyoming Rescue Mission in Casper — Wyoming’s only full-service shelter. Her leadership helps provide meals, shelter, recovery, and hope to those overcoming homelessness and addiction. Recently, Cheryl helped expand the Mission’s reach with a 355-acre recovery ranch in the Medicine Bow National Forest, a place of healing and transformation surrounded by God’s beauty.
After experiencing the pain of addiction in her own family, Cheryl turned her trials into purpose. Through City Vision University, she gained the training and confidence to lead boldly, write winning grants, and grow her team’s impact. Today, she inspires others to persevere through hardship and trust God’s redemptive plan.
“Education has always helped me move toward God’s purpose for my life. It’s how we reflect His image — by growing in wisdom and stature.” – Cheryl Hackett

Meet Ralph McCracken, Director of Enterprises at The Foundry Ministries. Ralph helps sustain programs that serve hundreds of men and women recovering from addiction.
But even with years of leadership experience, he realized something was missing:
“I could do the job, but I wasn’t sure I understood why I did the job.”
That’s when Ralph decided to pursue his MBA at City Vision University.
“The classes helped me understand my purpose. They made me more efficient, a better leader, and a better person.”
Today, Ralph combines business excellence with ministry impact—proving that education rooted in faith can change not just careers, but lives. 💙
Congratulations, Ralph, on your MBA!

“Before City Vision, my life was unmanageable. I came to St. Matthew’s House Homeless Shelter broken and in need of hope. Through their one-year recovery program, I found freedom in Christ — and a new direction for my life.
I never imagined I’d go from a resident in a recovery program to earning two degrees and serving as a Program Manager helping families rebuild their lives. But that’s what City Vision helped make possible.
What started with one class — Vocational Calling & Purpose of Work — became a five-year journey that changed everything. I earned my Associate’s in Christian Addiction Counseling, then my Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and now I’m pursuing my MBA. Each course, professor, and classmate reminded me that God never wastes a painful experience.
City Vision gave me not only an education, but a family of people across the country doing the Lord’s work. I’ve gained lifelong connections, practical business and ministry skills, and confidence in who God created me to be.
Today, as I lead others in recovery and family restoration, I see how City Vision’s mission continues through me every single day. I’m living proof that with Christ — and a community that believes in you — transformation is possible.”
