Members of the Quest Team attended an award ceremony at the KC Regional Professional Development Center to receive the Missouri Schoolwide Positive Behavior Supports Award of Excellence. Rising Hill earned the Tier 3 Award of Excellence, meeting the criteria for implementing Tiers 1, 2, and 3 at exemplary levels. 217 schools across the state earned an award. We are proud of the work we do that integrates positive behavior supports and Conscious Discipline to help students learn emotion regulation skills and feel a strong sense of belonging. This is the 3rd consecutive year Rising Hill has been recognized with the Tier 3 award. 💚⛰️🧭

Our staff gathered today to prepare for the new school year. It was great to be together on the hill! We look forward to welcoming students soon! 💚⛰️🧭

This morning teachers were welcomed back with a Rising Hill PTA All-Star Breakfast. We are so appreciative of our partnership with our families. Thank you to everyone who donated food and supplies for the breakfast. The staff trading cards were a hit! 💚⛰️🧭

Popsicles on the Playground kept us cool this evening! It was great to see so many Explorers enjoying the summer evening! Thank you, Rising Hill PTA!

Back-to -School Night is Thursday, August 20th, from 4:30-6:00 PM. 💚⛰️🧭

This morning we welcomed new staff to Rising Hill at the Superintendent’s Breakfast. This was followed by a building orientation. We are excited to have the following new staff join our school family:

💚Emma Reid, First Grade
🧭Byra Nicodemus, Primary Resource Teacher
⛰️Austyn Sicks, Second Grade
💚Rebecca Semkin, School Community Resource Specialist

To ensure a smooth start to the school year and help us provide bus information earlier, all families must complete enrollment by Tuesday, August 18 at 10 a.m. to guarantee their student will have a bus assigned for the first day of school. If enrollment is completed after August 18 but before the first day of school, we will do our best to assign a bus stop and provide transportation as quickly as possible (within 4-5 days), but we cannot guarantee service will be available on the first day.

Completed enrollment includes:
· Proof of residency (two required forms)
· Immunization records
· Contact information for at least one guardian and at least one emergency contact
· Proof of parental or legal guardianship, if requested

We know this is a new change to our enrollment process, which is why we want to make sure you are aware. If you need assistance completing enrollment, please contact the Rising Hill office at 816-321-5370 or the district. This change will help us plan routes more efficiently, reduce last-minute changes, and provide a seamless transportation experience on the first day of school.
