"If the step's too big there's probably two other steps you can do."
Have you ever encountered a task that seemed insurmountable? Consider reframing the challenge by breaking it down into smaller, more achievable steps.

I am giggling at myself because inspite of my true belief in what is listed below, I am currently wearing one of my favorite t-shirts today that says "No Bad Vibes".
But is "No Bad Vibes" the same as "Positive Vibes Only?" Thoughts?
Subtle..... hmmmm
Back to the topic though... I have reflected on the thought of "toxic positivity" and found myself guilty in the past of having a mindset that didn't want to make room for anything but sunshine... which isn't reality.
It's okay to not be all rainbows and butterflies all of the time. In fact, I've learned that if you don't deal with what you're feeling and you just shove it down... it's going to poke its head back up at some point (and probably not at the most ideal time). So it is okay to stop, drop... and deal with what you feel. Just don't get stuck in the muck. Because the opposite of toxic positivity is possibly toxic pessimism... and it's not healthy to swim in the gloom and doom all the time either.
Changing momentum when you get stuck at either end of the spectrum is not easy though because we tend to ride that momentum. THINK: an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
To borrow from a more eastern Buddhist mindset, finding a "Middle path" (or in western thought a "balance") is key.
Be where you are when you are there.... but don't get stuck there.... don't let phase, a time period, become a rut that turns into your grave.

"Everyone has a different version of you."
I snapped this photo yesterday when I was out on my walk.... new spray painted words of wisdom. There were a couple of others I snapped a shot of too.... obviously a little Mischief was afoot. But sometimes, there are some pretty good words to ponder.
We rarely see ourselves as others do. Your family will see you one way, your friends another, your coworkers get a different version too. People we cross paths with will probably have a whole other version... are you nice, grumpy, courteous, kind, generous, mean, creepy..... what impressions do we leave in our wake?

Aging is the aggressive pursuit of comfort. Gary Brecka
Out of context, this statement can easily be misunderstood as a funny meme. However, ithe reality of it is a "use it or lose it" truth. As we age, we need to continue pushing ourselves physically.
The moment we begin to think "I'm too old, to do that" and we choose to pander to that voice, it's a downhill slide into a lack of health. So go ahead, learn a new sport, run/ walk that mile, lace up the boots and hit the trail!
Thoughts?
