Engage your students with this super fun Women in History activity that integrates art, history, social studies, and literacy and makes a great end of year review! Perfect for Women's History Month, students will think critically about their chosen or assigned historical figure, time period, or major historical event as they apply their knowledge to design a custom hoodie. Before getting started with the design process, students can read a short article or view the included PowerPoint presentation to learn about the 3,000 year history of hoodies and their design. Students will use a combination of colors, patterns, symbols, and text to design their hoodies.

Luna pup enjoying her new nappin’ spot in the sun. We moved to Kansas City, MO this week and have been buying new furniture to help us get settled. I can’t wait until I get a new desk and start putting my office together!

Ugly Holiday Sweaters are one of my favorite activities for the weeks leading up to winter break. Students will love working on the engaging assignment independently while you finish up your semester grading. And when they're done, the sweaters can be used to make a super cute bulletin board, hallway display, or even door decorations for a contest!

Read all about how to use ugly sweaters in your own classroom on my blog (link in comments)!
