Debate changes lives! (Get ready for 2014-2015, errybody!!)

Student overcomes disability to become debate champ In a matter of four years, Frances Janelle Torres went from being a shy, insecure freshman with a challenging physical disability to a confident, multiple award-winning debate champion as a senior.

The oldest and largest speech and debate honor society, the National Speech & Debate Association, provides educational resources to middle and high school students who participate in interscholastic speech, interp and debate competitions.

Our BFL champs spent the day sightseeing in Kansas City (which is both in Missouri and Kansas). We visited Union Station, the National World War One Monument, the public library (which is in an old bank), and ate barbecue! Now, we are off to meet with colleges about speech scholarships!
