The @kansascityzoo is always a beary good time! Last month, the KC Zoo and Aquarium welcomed PC educators and their families for a free breakfast and day at the zoo as a way to thank educators for their dedicated work in education. It was a roaring good time packed with fun, laughter, and all the animals we know and love. #kczoo #thankateacher #kansascitymo #bestzooever

An exciting day for Kansas City Public Schools, the scholars of King Elementary, the community in which they live, and the greater Kansas City. Our 2nd grade scholars represented the school well under the direction of Mr. Bailey they sang a song about our school namesake Dr. Martin Luther King.

The third grade scholars under the guidance of Mr. Johnson & Ms. Crislip spend time beautifying our school grounds in honor of Earth Day.

Congratulations to Ms. Constance Powell our Teacher of the Year! Ms. Powell has served many years at King Elementary. She willingly not only help students but parents and teachers. We are thankful to have her here at Dr. King Elementary.
