The companions of Orient Chapter No 102, Royal Arch Masons, went shopping for 10 Thanksgiving baskets complete with a turkey, a ham, and all the fixins. These were donated to Friendship Village Apartments
A special thank you to the Prairie Village HyVee who went above and beyond to make sure we had all the items we needed, even retrieving stock from the back, opening a checking lane just for us, and to Chris our checker who helped us sack, load carts, and carry out items.

On Wednesday October 8, 2025 the Companions of Shekinah Council No 24 received MIC Gary B. Strout Grand Master of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of the State of Kansas and MIC Dennis W. Houck Grand Master of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of the State of Missouri. A great evening of fellowship with both States present! We look forward to hosting this event next year.

Never deny a Craftsman his wages!
When a medieval craftsman was denied his wages, he turned to stone to exact his revenge in a way that would echo through centuries. Atop Freiburg Minster resides a notorious gargoyle that serves a dual purpose: not only does it effectively channel rainwater, but it also embodies a spirit of defiance. According to historical accounts, an unpaid stonemason crafted this evocative figure as a symbolic protest, strategically placing it to face the City Council. Originating from the medieval era, gargoyles were integral to the architectural design of churches, primarily facilitating the diversion of rainwater away from their walls. However, certain examples, such as this one, are imbued with deeper narratives. This particular artisan ensured that his discontent was immortalized in stone, contributing to Germany's rich tapestry of architectural lore and humor.
