Steph Hart, EdD Cohort 6 and Student Success Coach at Rockhurst University, received JASPA Innovation grant funding for "Your Story Starts Here: A First-Year Reflection Journal Initiative." This successful grant proposal will support a pilot activity in the Manresa course, inviting new first-time college students to exercise the Jesuit core value of Reflection and Discernment. Students will each receive their own "RU Blue" journal and will participate in prompted reflective journaling connected to course content and the rhythm of their first college semester, with a goal to apply those insights to their personal first-year experience as a Hawk.
