Park Hill Parents as Teachers

Parent Educators provide support for families through four core services: Home Visits, Developmental Screening, Connection Events, and a Resource Network.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) gives parents knowledge in the overall development of children from birth through the start of kindergarten and the parent-child relationship. Our current programming is operating through a virtual format. Visit the school website to register for the Park Hill Parents as Teachers program today.

Great information about safe sleeping.

Keeping your baby safe during sleep is as simple as ABC: Alone, Back, Crib. The safest sleep environment for your baby is alone, on their back. Check that the surface is firm and flat, such as a safety-approved crib or bassinet with a single, fitted sheet. No loose items such as blankets, pillows, soft toys, or pets should be in the crib.

While completing individual family visits, Parent Educators discuss developmental milestones with each child supported in the program.

Reaching milestones in skills like taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving "bye bye" are important signs of a child's development. Children achieve milestones in how they play, learn, speak, act, and move. If you want to ensure that your little one is reaching their milestones, the CDC's milestones and parent tips have been updated with new checklist ages for 15 and 30 months. https://bit.ly/4f4OzSD
