Family support plays a powerful role in helping students stay motivated and confident in school. Encouragement at home helps students develop resilience.
Simple habits such as communication, routines, and emotional support can strengthen learning. Families who stay involved help students navigate challenges.
Strong family support also helps students build independence and confidence over time. These foundations support long-term success in school and beyond.

Preparing students for life after graduation requires more than completing coursework. Students also need confidence, mentorship, and real-world skills.
Plaza Academy helps students build independence and discover their strengths. Personalized guidance helps students plan their next steps after graduation.
Our approach supports students as they prepare for college, careers, and life after graduation. We focus on building confidence and direction for the future.

Many non-traditional learners struggle in traditional classrooms where large classes and rigid structures make it difficult to succeed. With the right support and environment, those same students often rediscover confidence and motivation.
Students who once felt discouraged can begin to reconnect with learning when they feel understood and supported. Many non-traditional learners start setting goals and imagining new possibilities for their future.
Success stories show how powerful the right environment can be for students who learn differently. They also remind families that a different path can still lead to meaningful achievement.

For the 9th year in a row, our students and staff received FREE eye exams and FREE custom glasses—all thanks to Dr. Hawk’s 20/20 Vision Foundation.
Dr. Hawk and his team came directly to Plaza Academy, removing transportation, cost, and access barriers entirely.
Every student. Every teacher. No exceptions. No hurdles.
Clear vision is a crucial foundation for learning, confidence, and daily life—and this program makes an immediate, meaningful difference for our school community.
We are endlessly grateful for Dr. Hawk’s generosity, consistency, and belief in our students. Since 2017, this partnership has helped ensure our kids can show up, engage, and succeed—clearly.
Thank you for investing in our students in such a powerful, tangible way. We truly could not do this without you.

What a night!
Our November 2025 Mouse Races fundraiser was everything we love about Plaza Academy—joyful, a little chaotic, community-filled, and powered by people who truly believe in our students.
From the cheering and laughter to the friendly competition, incredible sponsors, generous donors, committed staff, and supportive families—this event was a reminder that when our community comes together, amazing things happen.
Because of you, we’re able to continue providing individualized support, meaningful experiences, and holistic care for our students—meeting them where they are and helping them move forward with confidence.
Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and believing in our kids. We couldn’t do this without you!

Plaza Academy has never been a one-size-fits-all school—because our students aren’t one-size-fits-all.
For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside this place as we’ve adapted, rebuilt, and responded to what our students and families actually need. Through change, challenge, and growth, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to individualized support, authentic relationships, and helping students become the best version of themselves.
As we move forward, we’re bringing that same approach to social media—less polished, more real, and centered on the people who make Plaza Academy what it is. This is a school built on compassion, accountability, and community—and we want our story to reflect that.
Welcome to Plaza Academy.
