Due to the potential for severe storms this afternoon, HMC-1 will follow a normal early release schedule today to keep our students and staff safe.

🕦 11:30 am: Freda Markley Early Childhood Center
🕦 11:45 am: Hickman Mills Middle School, Alvin Brooks Middle School
🕧 12:30 pm: Compass Elementary, Ervin Elementary, John Sharp Early Childhood Center, Santa Fe Elementary, Truman Elementary, Warford Elementary

🚫 All after-school activities, including LINC, are canceled.

Looking for a little warmth this winter? KCPD Social Services is hosting Coats and Cocoa on Thursday, December 4, at 6:00 pm at the South Patrol Gym (9701 Marion Park Dr, KCMO). Families are welcome to stop by, grab a free coat, and enjoy a cup of cocoa while supplies last.

Events like this don’t happen without generous partners, so a big thank you to the Police Foundation and Walmart for making it possible.

If you know someone who could use a warm coat this season, please share. Let’s take care of each other.

❄️ BLUE/VIRTUAL DAY Tomorrow!❄️ 💻 With the winter weather and unsavory road conditions, we are shifting to a Virtual Learning Day on Tuesday, December 2. ❄️

Students can hop into Google Classroom in the morning, and your school’s principal will share any extra instructions, links, or times you’ll need. Please note: LINC and all after-school activities are canceled.
