We know families have questions about the future of our schools, and we want to keep you informed every step of the way. As part of The Road to a Sustainable Destiny, the HMC-1 Board of Directors and district leaders have been taking a close look at how we use our schools, buildings, and resources to ensure we can continue supporting students for years to come.

This short video shares a high-level overview of the school reconfiguration option currently under consideration, what it could look like, and why the conversation is happening now. We invite you to watch, learn more, and stay engaged as we work through these important decisions together.

Looking for a little warmth this winter? KCPD Social Services is hosting Coats and Cocoa on Thursday, December 4, at 6:00 pm at the South Patrol Gym (9701 Marion Park Dr, KCMO). Families are welcome to stop by, grab a free coat, and enjoy a cup of cocoa while supplies last.

Events like this don’t happen without generous partners, so a big thank you to the Police Foundation and Walmart for making it possible.

If you know someone who could use a warm coat this season, please share. Let’s take care of each other.
