🐝 MLK Day of Service with MO Hives KC 🐝

This weekend , our NAC members and our incredible volunteers dedicated 2 hours to carefully sterilizing and disinfecting our beekeeping tools—an essential step in healthy beekeeping practices. By taking this time to care for our equipment, we’re helping ensure our bees have a fresh, healthy start for the 2026 season and reducing the risk of spreading pathogens across our apiaries.

This is what service looks like: stewardship, teamwork, and commitment to a healthier environment and food system. 💛

We invite community members who are interested in supporting healthy food systems through bee and pollinator conservation to join us in this work across the KC metro and beyond. Together, we can make a lasting impact—one hive at a time.
