If your wrestler hasn’t turned in all of their gear (sweatshirt, sweatpants, singlets, shoes, and headgear) please make sure they do so asap following winter break.

Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday’s banquet a success! Below is a list of awards handed out to our wrestlers.

Viking Award (two year wrestlers): Nathan Gonzales, Kenneth Hess, Weston Hoover, Ryan Kidd, Alfredo Martinez, Jonah Paige, Noah Sharp, Landon Sherman, Gabbie Sontag, Brendan Welch.

Total Teammate Award: Jesse Gloria and Brielle Hyter

Hardest Worker: Landon Sherman and Ruben Campos

Most Improved: Ryan Kidd

Most Valuable Wrestler: Isaiah Benz (25-5, 8th grade) Ruben Campos (16-4, 7th grade)

Reminder: Tomorrow following school we will hold our wrestling banquet. I will have pizza and pop for the wrestlers.

If possible, I have asked wrestlers to bring either $5 to contribute towards the pizza or a dessert/side. If you choose to send a side/dessert please avoid peanut butter and walnuts.

In addition to the food I will hand out season awards and collect wrestling gear. Please make sure all gear is washed before turning it on.

Good Morning Maple Park Wrestling Family,

Unfortunately, I will not be at the wrestling meet tomorrow. My daughter Sloane Christine Conrad decided to make her grand entrance this weekend.

Coach Callaway with the help of the Winnetonka wrestling coaching staff will coach the kids the next two meets. If you have any questions about the next two meets or our wrestling “banquet” next Monday, please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Wrestling begins at 4 pm tomorrow at Raytown South Middle School. Teams present include Raytown South, Excelsior Springs, and Harrisonville. Best of luck to all of our wrestlers!

Reminder: Picture day is tomorrow after school at Maple Park. We will wear our black/gold singlets with our wrestling shoes for pictures.

Parents, picture envelopes will be sent home with wrestlers today. If you would like to pick up your student-athlete following pictures you are welcome to do so, otherwise we will stay at Maple Park for a weight room workout/study hall until activities busses come.
