This Friday, September 4 will be an early release day for all Center School District schools for staff professional development. Please review the academic calendars and important dates to help your family plan for the school year.

Early release times are:

Elementary Schools: 1:15 pm
Center Middle School: 11:50 am
Center Academy for Success: 12:30 pm
Center High School: 12:15 pm

It was a great day at Center Elementary! We love and support our secretary. Her journey with Leukemia is filled with strength, perseverance and grace! All qualities we hope for in our Eagle community!

During Mindset Monday our 3-5 grade Eagles faced off a in collaborative team task!

All teams showed the importance of teamwork, but our 3rd graders completed the task first! Congrats to our newest upstairs leaders!

Principal Cozad challenged all classes to continue building the community in their classrooms through values this week!

Today was our Mindset Monday kickoff! Each Monday we meet as a school wide community to set the tone for our week!

We officially started our ‘Pass the Oar’ tradition for the 26-27 school year!

Our first staff recipient is Mrs. Barker, our reading specialist! Ms. Douglas chose her for her dedication and support to our students K-5!

Mrs. Clipston’s kindergarten class received the student oar! Principal Cozad chose them for their teamwork and problem solving last week as they completed tasks together!

Day 4 and great things are continuing to happen! Our 3-5 grade Eagles are working hard upstairs!

Routines, Relationships, and Responsibilities are being built!

Day 3 and learning is in full swing!

Our littlest Eagles have been practicing routines and procedures through small groups, read alouds, centers, class circles, and so much more!

We can’t wait to see their growth this year!

Center Elementary staff got together to set their purpose for the school year! Working with UnlockKC they  teamed up and problem solved in ways we hope our students will problem solve this year! It was great fun and our staff is the best!
