π« When one of our own is hurting, the entire community shows up. π€
James Smith, owner of Lone Star Glass and Gutter in Fort Worth, Texas, recently suffered a serious fall from a ladder while working. He is now facing:
β’ A fractured wrist requiring surgery
β’ Foot fractures that may also require surgery
The International Window Cleaning Legacy Foundation (IWCLF) has donated to support James and his family. We are grateful to be part of an industry that continues to care for and support one another.
Now we are asking the rest of the community to come together.
If you are in a position to help, please consider donating directly to James' GoFundMe campaign.

πͺ March is National Ladder Safety Month, and the International Window Cleaning Association is proud to support this annual campaign led by the American Ladder Institute to raise awareness and reduce preventable ladder injuries through education and safer work practices.
π¦Ί Safety starts with awareness. Ladder-related accidents remain one of the most common jobsite injuries, and 76% of surveyed individuals believe these incidents could have been avoided with proper training.
βοΈ IWCA members have a powerful advantage through Campus IWCA Learning Academy. π Members receive access to online training designed specifically for our industry, including courses such as:
β’ Single Ladders and Extension Ladders Safety
β’ Mobile Ladder Stands and Platforms
β’ Articulated Ladders Safety
β’ Stepladder Safety Training
π These courses help teams strengthen their safety knowledge, improve jobsite practices, and build a stronger safety culture within their companies.

π The National Ladder Safety Month website also provides a free marketing kit with ready-to-use graphics, social media copy, and educational flyers available in English and Spanish that companies can use to promote ladder safety within their teams and communities.
πΈ We would love to see how your organization is participating. Share your ladder safety practices and tag IWCA on social media so we can highlight your commitment to safer work in our industry.
π€ Together, we can continue taking important steps toward a safer workplace for everyone in the window cleaning profession.
