This year, KCS piloted Silverquicken with 4th and 5th grade AIG pull-out groups at several schools. Designed to support the needs of gifted and advanced learners, Silverquicken uses story-based challenges to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, persistence, and reflection through complex problem-solving experiences.

Mr. Fulton joined the authors of the program during their March SEEDling Squad webinar to discuss the pilot experience and the impact it had on student learning.

We have loved seeing our students rise to the challenge through these experiences and are excited to continue growing opportunities for advanced learners across KCS!

What a great night last week at our Rube Goldberg Family Night! ⚙️🎉

Students and families from across Kannapolis City Schools spent the evening building, testing, problem solving, and creating some incredible chain reaction machines together.

So much creativity, teamwork, and learning packed into one night. Thanks to everyone who joined us and our NHS and JNHS for keeping things running smoothly!
