The research in our lab focuses on effects of nutrition on brain development and function throughout the lifespan. Carol L. Cheatham, Ph.D.

We are a UNC - Chapel Hill lab located at the UNC-CH Nutrition Research Institute on the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis NC (outside of Charlotte). We have studied breastfed 6-month olds to determine how the motherโ€™s genotype affects brain development. Most recently, we have enrolled 65- to 79- year-olds who are experiencing mild cognitive decline to see if supplementing their diet wi
