Upper School Support Grades 7-9

For some families, the upper grades bring new questions and challenges.

Students begin needing greater independence, stronger discussion and community, and preparation for high school level work.

At the same time, many parents are not ready to send their children into environments that do not reflect their values.

That is exactly why our Upper School exists.

Living Faith Christian Academy offers a homeschool bridge for Grades 7–9 by combining:

• strong Christ-centered academics
• community and discussion in a relational setting
• guided independence
• transcript and high school preparation
• and a thoughtful weekly rhythm that still leaves room for family life

Our goal is not to replace the heart of homeschooling, but to support families through these important transition years if they are looking for more community, structure, and support along the way.

We’re seeking two mission-minded upper elementary teachers who are excited to come alongside families in raising lifelong learners. We’re looking for individuals who desire to grow personally and professionally while applying a Charlotte Mason philosophy and helping students grow in wisdom, knowledge, and character within a supportive Christian community.

✨ Small class sizes (max 12 students)
✨ Curriculum + training provided
✨ Charlotte Mason / Classical model
✨ Monday–Thursday schedule (Kannapolis)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred (private, hybrid, or co-op teaching a plus).

What if your family could get up to $7,900 toward your child's private school costs next year? The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program is open to new student applications now through March 2nd.

Homeschoolers can co-enroll - using the Scholarship for the private school tuition and homeschool any additional subjects if desired.

Awards range from $3,000 to $7,900 per student based on household income.

Join us Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 6:30pm for an Informational Meeting with Kwan Graham of Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina. She will answer questions and help parents apply for the scholarship as well as provide information about the ESA+ Grant.

Our students have loved this hymn and we often catch them humming it during class. It has spoken to our hearts and blessed us all term long.

As we head into Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting on one of our Term 1 hymns, Be Still, My Soul. Our students have been singing these words for weeks and they remind us of God’s steady faithfulness and the peace He offers in every season.

What a beautiful posture to carry into this week of gratitude.
