We are proud of you, Mr. Andersen! Representing CTE well!

NCCAT was honored to attend Kannapolis City Schools’ Board of Education meeting to recognize Gary Andersen, a finalist for the 2026 Burroughs Wellcome Fund NC Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year Award.

Mr. Andersen teaches computer science and information technology at A.L. Brown High School and was selected for his dedication to his students and CTE instruction in Kannapolis City Schools. He will join the other 23 finalists in December for a week of professional development in Greensboro, and the winner will be announced on December 4.
