Today we read Put Me in the Zoo by Dr. Seuss
Such a sweet reminder for our little learners — you do not have to change who you are to fit in. Your “spots” make you special.
Sometimes the right place is not the place you first choose… it’s the place that celebrates you.

Dr. Seuss Day is celebrated on March 2 (his birthday). It’s also known as Read Across America Day, a nationwide celebration of reading.
“Dr. Seuss Day isn’t just about silly rhymes. It’s about building early literacy through joy, rhythm, and imagination. When children fall in love with language early, reading becomes natural — not pressured.”

Originally, Presidents' Day was to celebrate the birthday of George Washington (February 22). Over time, it expanded to also honor Abraham Lincoln.
Today, Presidents’ Day is meant to:
Honor the role of the presidency
Remember leaders who shaped the nation
Reflect on civic responsibility and democracy
Teach history and leadership to the next generation
