For some this might be completely simple and not helpful but I feel for others it might help. This can be something of a guide to using the written warm ups and beats. First one is just to remind you of the beat of the commands the leaders give. The marching begins on “beat one” after the command is given to March. The sticks come out on “beat 3” and everyone begins playing their instruments on “beat one” of the next measure.
