What an AMAZING first week at Steuben Elementary! 🎉📚💙
Today, we celebrated the completion of our first week with an exciting assembly themed around a flight taking off and getting ready for a successful year of learning! ✈️🚀
Our students arrived with their very own boarding passes 🎫 and checked in for their flight “Rock Star Airlines” 🎸✈️. We began by introducing our amazing flight crew — our dedicated staff 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 — followed by our special passengers — our incredible students! 🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓🌟
Our passengers are starting their journey at Steuben Elementary and are headed toward their destination: DESTINATION GREATNESS! 🌟🏆
There were smiles, excitement, laughter, and so much energy as our students got ready for takeoff! 🎉🙌✈️ We are so proud of the way our Rock Stars have started this school year, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us! 🚀⭐

¡Qué PRIMERA SEMANA tan INCREÍBLE tuvimos en Steuben Elementary! 🎉📚💙
Hoy celebramos el final de nuestra primera semana con una asamblea muy especial, inspirada en un vuelo que despega y se prepara para comenzar un año lleno de aprendizaje y éxito! ✈️🚀
Nuestros estudiantes llegaron con sus propios pases de abordar 🎫 y se registraron para su vuelo a bordo de “Rock Star Airlines” 🎸✈️. Comenzamos presentando a nuestra increíble tripulación de vuelo — nuestro dedicado personal 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 — y después a nuestros pasajeros especiales — ¡nuestros maravillosos estudiantes! 🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓🌟

🍦☀️ What a wonderful way to celebrate the last day of school! Our 2nd grade students in Mr. Lawrence & Ms. Avalos class had so much fun walking to La Michoacána on Court Street to enjoy delicious paletas (ice cream)! 😋🍧
One of the highlights of the day was getting to interact with the Kankakee Police Department while enjoying our treats. A very special shout-out to Officer C. Arroyo 👮‍♀️💙 for being such an amazing role model for our students. Her bilingual abilities inspired so many children, and several students even shared that they want to be like her when they grow up! 🌟
Thank you to La Michoacána on Court Street for welcoming our students and providing outstanding customer service. We truly appreciate your kindness and hospitality! ❤️🍦

🍦☀️ ¡Qué hermosa manera de celebrar el último día de clases! Nuestros estudiantes de segundo grado en clase de Sr. Lawrence y Srta. Avalos, disfrutaron mucho caminando a La Michoacána en Court Street para disfrutar deliciosas paletas. 😋🍧
Uno de los momentos más especiales del día fue poder convivir con el Departamento de Policía de Kankakee mientras disfrutábamos de nuestros helados. Un agradecimiento muy especial a la Oficial C. Arroyo 👮‍♀️💙 por ser un ejemplo tan inspirador para nuestros estudiantes. Sus habilidades bilingües impresionaron a muchos niños, ¡y varios comentaron que quieren ser como ella cuando sean grandes! 🌟
También queremos agradecer a La Michoacána en Court Street por recibir a nuestros estudiantes con tanta amabilidad y por brindar un excelente servicio al cliente. ¡Apreciamos mucho su hospitalidad! ❤️🍦

Our End-of-the-Year Assembly was so much fun! 🎉
Our Steuben Rockstars earned many awards, and it was wonderful to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments throughout the year. We also enjoyed our 3rd Grade Parade, a special tradition that marks an exciting new chapter for our students.
While we will miss our 3rd graders, we know they are ready for 4th grade and all the opportunities ahead. We are incredibly proud of them and can't wait to see all they accomplish!
We were also honored to recognize several staff members for their outstanding dedication and commitment. Their passion, hard work, and care for our students make Steuben such a special place. We are grateful for all they do each and every day.
Congratulations to all of our students and staff on a fantastic year! ⭐🎓❤️

¡Nuestra asamblea de fin de año fue muy divertida! 🎉

Nuestros Steuben Rockstars ganaron muchos premios, y fue maravilloso celebrar su arduo trabajo y logros a lo largo del año. También disfrutamos de nuestro Desfile de 3er Grado, una tradición especial que marca un nuevo y emocionante capítulo para nuestros estudiantes.

Aunque echaremos de menos a nuestros alumnos de 3er grado, sabemos que están listos para el cuarto grado y todas las oportunidades que tenemos por delante. ¡Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de ellos y no podemos esperar a ver todo lo que logran!
