PSAT/SAT INFORMATION

We will be administering the PSAT and the SAT at the high school this fall. Any students who are interested in taking one of the exams will need to get a permission form from Mrs. Ryding. Signed permission forms will be due back by September 2nd in order to be registered for the exam. The PSAT exam will be held on 10/20 and the SAT will be held on 10/27. Please contact Mrs. Ryding with any questions.

Welcome back Kane Area Middle School students and families! Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th is the first day of school.

Here are a few reminders to ensure your student has a successful first day.

Middle school students will start the day with their assigned Homeroom teacher. Students will not go to 1st period to begin the day. Homeroom teachers will explain the alternate schedule to students when they arrive to class.

Students will not be allowed into the school before 7:30 am. Students will be dismissed at 2:50 pm. Students are expected to be in their Homeroom by 8:03 am.

Please be on the lookout for important information that will come home with your middle school student from the first day. There will be documents that are to be filled out and returned to your student’s Homeroom teacher.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. We are looking forward to having a great 2026-2027 school year!

Congratulations, Rory!

Miss Kane Rory Undercoffer, seated, was crowned the 2026 McKean County Fair Queen this evening. She succeeds Mara Ours of Smethport. Miss Bradford Claire Storer was named runner-up.

School Starts Wednesday

Reminders of Alternate Parking and Traffic Safety for all! On Wednesday, August 26th School is back in session.
As the first day of school arrives Wednesday, Kane Borough reminds everyone to follow all Pennsylvania school bus safety laws. Please slow down, stay alert, and STOP for buses with flashing red lights to keep our students safe.
Additionally, alternate‑side parking will be in effect on Hemlock Avenue coinciding with the school year. Please heed posted signs and move vehicles accordingly.
Thank you for helping keep our young Kane Wolves and our community safe.
