South Summit High School is accepting applications for a General Financial Literacy, English Language Development (ELD), and Latinos in Action Teacher to join their dedicated team in South Summit School District.
Salary will be based on the 2026-2027 Licensed Salary Schedule and will receive 100% paid family medical benefits, retirement/pension, Life/LTD insurance, and paid time off.
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, a current Utah Secondary teaching license. Preference given to those with GFL Endorsement. Teachers will Implement effective teaching strategies to promote student understanding and growth. Teachers will also strive to align instructional practices with the district's strategic plan, emphasizing student and employee well-being. This teacher will be responsible for tracking grades and providing college and career readiness curricula to our Hispanic students, in conjunction with the counseling office. This Latinos In Action teacher will be responsible to make regular contact with our students who identify as Hispanic/ Latino-Latina and must be fluent in Spanish and understand the cultural needs of this student group. This teacher will provide regular family outreach and support with the specific goal to help students improve their overall academic and social performance. They will work closely with the counseling office to identify struggling students and develop educationally appropriate plans for their success.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff members and must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
