As the Conservation Science class begins their study of animal winter survival they have the opportunity to build their own shelters. This gives students the opportunity to experience the difficulties that animals face as winter sets in.

Unfortunately some visitors to the School Forest do not respect the beauty of the natural surroundings and leave trash scattered along the trails. Students in the Conservation Science class make sure that these items are picked up and disposed of properly to help keep the forest a wonderful place to visit.

Sometimes the best way to improve students observation skills is to simply take a walk in the School Forest and focus on the smaller details of nature that catch their eye.
