The June evening meeting of Kalispell Toastmasters will be held Tuesday, June 11th from 7:00-8:15 pm in the United Way Conference Room at Gateway Community Center, 1203 US Hwy 2 West. The meeting theme will be “Civil Discourse.”
Diana Damron, author of the book CIVILITY UNLEASHED, will be guest speaker on civil discourse in the workplace. Marc Rold will address political decorum, and Sid Daoud will speak on tact in social media and personal relationships. All three speeches will be 5-7 minutes long. Club members will also compete in short impromptu speeches on the theme of civility, and speech evaluators will provide constructive feedback of the three speeches.
Toastmasters International is the world’s largest and oldest nonprofit group focused on helping improve leadership and communication skills, and the Kalispell club is one of the most active in Montana. It meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Gateway Community Center, and the evening meeting is at 7:00 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, also at Gateway CC.
