The June evening meeting of Kalispell Toastmasters will be held Tuesday, June 11th from 7:00-8:15 pm in the United Way Conference Room at Gateway Community Center, 1203 US Hwy 2 West. The meeting theme will be “Civil Discourse.”
Diana Damron, author of the book CIVILITY UNLEASHED, will be guest speaker on civil discourse in the workplace. Marc Rold will address political decorum, and Sid Daoud will speak on tact in social media and personal relationships. All three speeches will be 5-7 minutes long. Club members will also compete in short impromptu speeches on the theme of civility, and speech evaluators will provide constructive feedback of the three speeches.
Toastmasters International is the world’s largest and oldest nonprofit group focused on helping improve leadership and communication skills, and the Kalispell club is one of the most active in Montana. It meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Gateway Community Center, and the evening meeting is at 7:00 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, also at Gateway CC. All meetings are open to the public, and there is no cost or obligation for attending.

Attention Area 11 Toastmasters! Remember it is Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 10!
Please make sure you "spring forward" one hour on Saturday night to make sure you're on time for the Contests. Oh, and arriving a little early is always a wise choice!
Remember, this event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and I encourage all of you to invite guests to hear the Best of the Best in Area 11!
Toastmasters International plays an important role in giving people a voice all around the world. Only when we realize that in other places around the globe people don't have a voice do we realize how fortunate we are in our country to have the choice to speak. "Toastmasters. We're International!"
