State Meet Day 1 is in the books!

Senior Mia Burgei wrapped up an outstanding Wildcat career by placing 10th in Division V Shot Put with her second-best throw of the season. Mia has been a tremendous leader and competitor for our program, and we are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished in a Kalida uniform.

On the track, the Girls 4x100 Relay of Addi Huber, Mallory Kerner, Kendal Krouse, and Leah Unverferth turned in a fantastic performance, running their second-fastest time of the season (51.24).

The Girls 4x400 Relay of Mallory Kerner, Addi Huber, Lyla Siebeneck, and Lauren Laudick battled all the way to the finish, narrowly missing a spot in the finals with a 10th-place finish in 4:07.41.

We are back today at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium as Kendal Krouse competes in the Long Jump Finals at 1:00 PM, followed by the Girls 4x200 Relay and Lauren Laudick in the 400M Finals.

Lauren is the second event through posting a 57.95 to qualify to the finals tomorrow!!!

Last race of the day and the 4x4 didn’t disappoint. Mallory Kerner, Addi Huber, Lyla Siebeneck, and Lauren Laudick raced a season best 4:05.35 to finish 5th and earn their way to Columbus!!!!
