The Culinary Arts Program serves approximately 30 students at a time for a two-year degree program. Graduates have gained employment at some of the best hotel kitchens and restaurants in West Hawaii, Honolulu and the mainland. From Kona to Google! 👨‍🍳🌺

The Culinary Arts program at Hawaiʻi Community College–West Hawaiʻi (now located at Palamanui)helped launch Chef Brandon Domingo’s remarkable career. After graduating in 2010, Brandon gained experience at world-class resorts and restaurants in Hawaiʻi, Australia, Chicago, and Seattle before becoming Executive Chef at Google’s Kirkland campus.

Brandon credits the program’s hands-on learning, supportive environment, and access to fresh local ingredients for building the strong foundation that continues to shape his career.

His journey is a reminder that big opportunities can start right here at home. Congratulations, Chef Brandon—we’re proud to call you one of our alumni!
