WMU Physical Therapy

Thanks to Alex Teal and the staff at the Virtual Reality Lab in WMU Libraries for hosting our class. Students were able to use the VR headsets to simulate different games that make movement and activity more engaging, including the ultimate balance challenge walking a plank 80 stories in the air. The flight simulator also let students use piloting skills.

We hosted a Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Course last week and had some familiar faces in attendance! It's great to see some of our alumni that are now fully ready to serve as CI's. Kudos to our DCE Daren Webb for all the work to make this happen.

The APTA Michigan, A Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association Annual Conference took place over the weekend, and congratulations to Matthew Corrado! Matthew won the Outstanding Student Award and the Team Rehab Scholarship.

Happy Homecoming all! We had our annual WMU DPT Homecoming Tailgate yesterday, with great weather and a Broncos win.

Thanks to NovaCare Rehabilitation (5659 Stadium) and Dylan - a student from WMU Physical Therapy for organizing their annual shoe drive for First Day Shoe Fund.

This year they collected 106 pairs of new shoes to donate to us.
