Out of the 10 Painted Lady butterflies, one decided to stay! We named her Betty Butterfly…
Every day, I’ve had her enclosure open, but I guess she likes it here!
We’ve given her apples, oranges, bananas and sugar water.
I read that they like to lay their eggs on the under side of Nettles.
I was hoping to find one and I did when I was walking Pretty Boy Floyd yesterday. I put the leaf in her enclosure, soft underside up, just in case. The next day, today, there are Betty Butterfly eggs on the leaves!
And then I was wishing I had more leaves for her and walking around the yard I found one growing! Yay!
 I guess when the eggs hatch the babies will eat those leaves up! It’s so exciting, I’m going to be a grandma! 🤓
