Bronco Baja is back! This past weekend, the Western Michigan University Baja SAE collegiate design team competed in Oshkosh Wisconsin at the 2023 Baja SAE Competition!
The team was able to overcome every challenge, and pass four-wheel drive, engine check, and safety technical inspection. Then we competed in the endurance race, placing 56th overall. This was no small accomplishment after being dormant for almost 3 years. This only allows for ample improvement! We are very proud of our young team of engineering students. They built not just a car, but a strong foundation that will go on to do amazing things. Congratulations to the members of the 2022-2023 season for showing what it means to persevere and be a Bronco!
Huge thanks for the opportunities and support from our College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Michigan University and Matthew Cavalli, Scot Conant, M.A. and Steven Butt for believing in us every step of the way.

Bronco Baja is back in full force. Just 2 weeks ago all we had was a frame and a dream. Now look at how far we have come, almost on the home stretch. 2023 is looking like a great year!
Tomorrow, September 8th at 6:pm in the 1st floor E-lounge of Floyd hall, our team will be meeting for the first time this semester.
This will be a rather short meeting in which we will go through the goals, designs and objectives the team has this year. We'll take a step into lab at the end of the meeting and show everyone around the previous car.
If you have any interest in joining, come and check us out. This is completely non-committal and if you choose to stick around, I promise you'll learn a cool thing or two. If anything we'll have a lot of fun!
Hope to see you tomorrow night!

Thanks To Laval and the whole EDN crew, we had a blast even Dan, the guy who fell in the comments.
The best fall photo award goes to WMU Bronco Baja. They were able to capture this great picture during the brutal S&T event. The winners of the contest will be awarded custom "EDN favourites" custom patches at next year's edition.
Also had some members of the Chemical Engineering Dept. Dr. Kline finally drove the car after 7 years. Additionally our Michigan Tech. Photographer Debbie took it for a spin.
Got Dr. Butt(WMU CEAS Interem Dean) In the BAJA car the other day. He seemed to like it, he was a pretty good driver too. Thanks for coming out Dr. Butt!! We appreciate your support!!
Had Scot Conant out for a drive in the Yellow car(scotty). He seemed to have a good time.
