Taylor was back on the forge this morning to forge hinges for an antique cabinet! This is definitely a Guinea Pig Club project! The goal is to make 4 sets, but first we had to replicate the original hinge. He did great learning a whole new set of skills! We got one set done that he will test and then be back to tweak anything and make 3 more!

Drew and his daughter were back on the forge today! They've been coming here for about 4 years now. He is making a kunai knife and she is making a trailing point knife. They're both almost done and will finish next time.

First Open Forge Night! It was so nice to see students I haven't seen in years! It was great to see all of them!
And an unexpected benefit we all discovered with Open Forge, is that you can pivot if you change your mind with what you want to make. It was a lot of fun.
So keep an eye out for more Open Forge nights. And I promise I will try to give more than a couple days notice 😉 And I definitely will get the link in the email announcement to work the first time😊

And for those wondering, he's making an upset by hitting the end on the ground and anvil. And for certain students who've just learned how to nake snakes, yes, this is the same upset we do for the snake head. Because the material is much thicker, we use the floor as a hammer 😉

HUGE announcement! Get ready for the 2 words you never thought you'd hear here -- OPEN FORGE! That's right! For the first time ever, we're going to try an Open Forge night! Practice your skills, or continue working on a current project. Join the Guinea Pig Club and meet the other cool students i always talk about 😊

This Friday, October 9, from 5-8pm. $100 per person. Limit of 6 people.

Only open to people who have taken a class with us before. And only 18+.
