During the 61st International Congress on Medieval Studies, WMU alumni from Medieval Studies and the Goliard group came together for a special night of connection, food and karaoke at Hou Jia in the Student Center.

Hosted by Dr. Bob Berkhofer and the College of Arts and Sciences, this second annual gathering brought Broncos from around the world back together, just like old times.

Once a Bronco, always a Bronco.

When Indiana native Kaylee (B.B.A.'13) chose Western Michigan University, it changed her life for the better.

Seeking world-class resources at a university where she’d be more than just a number, Indiana native Kaylee chose Western, where she thrived in her accountancy program and on the Division I women’s golf team. Empowered by her Bronco community, she is now Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting at Procore Technologies.

By the time she was 17, Sharmaine Moulton (B.S.’05, Aviation Administration & Flight Science) had already earned her Private Pilot License. From there, her next stop: WMU Aviation. ✈️

Today, Sharmaine has served 19 years in the aviation industry at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), fueled by her time at Western as her launching pad.

faculty members from the WMU College of Health and Human Services, along with a Master of Social Work alumna, have been recognized with an international award for their scholarly contributions to student learning and professional development! ⭐

Congratulations to Dr. Dee Ann Sherwood, Dr. Karen M. VanDeusen, Dr. Shannon L. McMorrow and Ava Leahy, M.S.W.'25, who were selected by Common Ground Research Networks as recipients of the Learner International Award for Excellence.

The team was recognized for their article, “Student Critical Reflection on Service Learning in Post-Disaster Puerto Rico: Constructing Competency Development, Cultural Humility and Professional Identity,” published in the International Journal of Learner Diversity and Identities.
