Gift of Grace Montessori

A rainforest storm was on the way, and our young engineers had a mission: build a refuge to keep an ocelot dry!

There were lots of smiles, a few redesigns, and many proud builders.

The challenge was simple, but the learning was big!

Some days at Gift of Grace look a lot like this…

A little girl lost in a book.
A beloved stuffed tiger riding along for the adventure.
A bright pink smoothie enjoyed outdoors.
Math games spread across the floor with friends.
A snack shared around the table.
Watercolors, curiosity, and creative minds at work.

Nothing fancy. Nothing rushed.

Just children learning, playing, wondering, creating, and enjoying the gift of being kids.

And somehow, in the middle of all those ordinary moments, something beautiful is growing. 🌱

🍓 Success!

After patiently waiting and keeping a close eye on our strawberry patch, we finally found a red, ripe strawberry that the critters didn’t get first.

The look on her face says it all. ❤️

One of my favorite moments from this week…

We were talking about things in nature that change and things about God that never change. When I asked the children what is always true about God, one child thoughtfully replied:

“He is always by our side, and He is right there with us.”

What a beautiful reminder from a child’s heart. No matter what changes around us, God’s presence never changes. ❤️

Today, colorful drink powders and a few sprays of water transformed into vibrant rainforest art inspired by Rainforest Falls.

🌿 The science was fun, but the expressions were even better!

And now for the watercolor!

After drawing their eastern box turtles with Jan Brett’s lesson, students added watercolor to bring their creations to life. We love how each turtle turned out a little different—proof that creativity shines in so many wonderful ways.

I think Mossy would approve!
