It’s Wednesday and you know what that means! It’s Power skating day!

We are excited to be hosting the 2026 Last Chance for Solo Dance NSD Competition on August 13-16 at Wings Event Center!
In order for this event to run smoothly we are in need of volunteers!

All full member GKSA families are required to do a minimum of one shift, this is detailed in your membership requirements.

We are excited for the 26th annual Kick-Off Classic Synchronized Skating Competition!

The 26th annual Kalamazoo Kick-Off Classic will be at Wings Event Center November 21 & 22, 2026!

GKSA had a great representation at the Excel National Final in Boston!

Congratulations to Blake Ponton who won gold 🥇
He is the Preliminary Plus Boys National Final champion! He also won the award for the highest presentation scores in his level.

Congratulations to Lola Brott for a great skate and placing 13th her Excel Intermediate Plus Women’s group. She was one of just 40 skaters to qualify for the final out of more than 250 skaters around the county in her level.

Congratulations to Ava Urbina for a great skate and placing 19th in her Excel Preliminary Plus Girls group. Ava was one of just 48 skaters to qualify for the final out of 400 skaters around the county in her level!

All 3 skaters also took part in the Excel festival with on and off ice classes and exhibition performances with Team USA Figure Skating members.

Great job skaters and coaches! Congratulations on a successful season!
