School is out and summer is in full swing at KDCCC! We are so grateful to be spending these sunny days learning, playing, and growing with your little ones!๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒˆ

๐Ÿ“…As a friendly reminder, summer is our busiest season and our classrooms, especially Pre-K, are filling up very quickly. We encourage families to schedule days as soon as possible (up to two weeks in advance) and to let us know if your plans change and you can no longer attend. This helps us offer available spots to other families who may be waiting for care.

โฐWe also ask that if you are running late for drop-off and will arrive after 11:30 a.m., please give us a quick call. With our waitlist often full, we may need to offer your reserved spot to another family if we have not heard from you.

๐ŸŒž We're especially excited that our Pre-K friends will be spending lots of time outdoors this summer! To help everyone stay comfortable, please consider packing an extra set of clothes, sending a hat for sun protection, and pulling long hair back on warmer days. If you would like sunscreen applied during the day by our teachers, please see a staff member for the required permission form, or feel free to apply sunscreen before drop-off.

Thank you for helping us make the most of a fun, safe, and successful summer for all of our KDCCC families! ๐Ÿ’™

Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center is funded 100% by our community. Over 90% of our funding comes from local individual donors and foundations. Every gift, big or small, truly makes a difference.

Families use KDCCC while:
โ€ข Attending school and completing degrees
โ€ข Searching for jobs or going to work
โ€ข Attending court dates or medical appointments
โ€ข Caring for other children and responsibilities
โ€ข Taking a much-needed break during overwhelming seasons of life

We may be small, but we are mighty. KDCCC creates direct, lasting impact for local children and families every single day, and we cannot continue this work alone.

We had SO much fun yesterday celebrating early literacy with the Kalamazoo Public Library at Party in the Park! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ˜„

It was so special getting to spend the morning alongside so many incredible community organizations, all coming together to share the joy of reading with local children and families. From dressing up as our favorite characters to reading beloved books with groups of kiddos, the whole event was filled with so much fun and community connection.

A huge thank you to the Kalamazoo Public Library for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful event and for making the morning so magical. We already canโ€™t wait for next year! โœจ
