Stop by the Portage Central High School Commons today, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our staff will be available to assist families through the enrollment process and answer any questions.

Families can also enjoy free food, giveaways, school bus tours, and information from community partners. Human Resources staff will be on-site to share employment opportunities with Portage Public Schools.

Please bring:
• Parent/Guardian photo ID (and proof of guardianship, if applicable)
• Birth certificate
• Proof of residency
• Immunization records (or an approved waiver)
• Current high school transcript (for high school students)

Please note: Due to construction on South Westnedge Avenue, visitors should park on the north side of Portage Central High School and follow the signs around the building to the event entrance.

If anyone (12+) wants to volunteer with us in the Adopt-A-Highway program today (Monday 7/13), meet at the Centre Street park n ride (by Centre and Angling, near the Marathon gas station) at 4pm! Safety vests will be provided. Wear sunscreen and bring water. It’s going to be hot!
Students can get community service hours!

TALLOWCREEK ELEMENTARY — Fourth grade teacher Ms. Kestler confirmed Thursday that the two-word reply "Sounds good," sent July 6 in response to a districtwide calendar email, resulted in her appointment to the Arrival And Dismissal Flow Task Force, the Bulletin Board Standards Committee, and the Safety Committee. The email, sent to 41 staff members, received one reply.

Principal Mrs. Dunlap told Eyes On Meme the assignments followed standard procedure, describing any summer response as "a strong signal of availability." Veteran teacher Mr. Grabowski, who has not opened a school email between June and August since 2014, remains unassigned to anything.

The first meeting is scheduled for July 20, with a single agenda item of drafting a mission statement. Ms. Kestler has now been named chair of a fourth committee after reacting to the announcement with a thumbs-up.
